“Netanyahu is desperate to occupy Gaza because he wants custody of the crime scene.”
A sentence. A sledgehammer. A truth most dare not utter—except one man did. And the internet nearly gasped in unison.
Dr. Rudolph "Butch" Ware, historian, Black radical, artist, and former U.S. Green Party vice-presidential candidate, dropped this line on X like a moral grenade. Ware isn’t your average academic behind a dusty podium. He's a professor of African and Islamic history at UC Santa Barbara—yes. But he’s also a relentless voice against imperialism, settler-colonialism, and sanitized silence. A scholar who doesn’t just teach the history of empires—he tears at their living seams.
His post wasn’t just a critique. It was a charge sheet.
“Zionists want to sanitize the carnage… They know if international observers are given unfettered access to Gaza, they will find an Auschwitz on every block—and that will be the end of Israel.”
If your spine didn’t shiver reading that, check your pulse—or your privilege.
Let’s break it down. Ware argues that Netanyahu’s obsession with occupying all of Gaza has little to do with security and everything to do with evidence control. The occupation, in this view, isn’t strategic. It’s forensic. A desperate power move to rewrite the story before the blood dries. Gaza isn’t just rubble; it’s a crime scene. And Israel, with the West as its loyal accomplice, wants exclusive jurisdiction.
How do you cover up genocide in real time?
Easy. Block the witnesses. Bomb the journalists. Starve the civilians. Blame the victims.
Oh, and don’t forget to shout “antisemitism” every time someone dares to point at the pile of bodies and ask, “Who did this?”
Join the truth-tellers.
Follow the voices that pierce the fog of war with moral clarity.
Ware continues:
“Western powers are committed to enabling such an occupation because they are full partners in every last war crime.”
Let that sink in.
He’s not just indicting Israel. He’s pulling the mask off every self-righteous Western leader who sends humanitarian tweets while greenlighting weapons shipments. The liberal democracies, we’re told, are the guardians of human rights. But in Gaza, they are gravediggers in suits—shoveling excuses into mass graves and calling it diplomacy.
And as for the death toll?
“They throw around 60K+… but public health research suggests the real toll may be in the hundreds of thousands.”
Let’s face it: We don’t really count dead Palestinians. We audit them like expired inventory. And when the numbers get too high, we cut the feed, label them “unverified,” and move on.
But Ware ends with the line that truly terrifies the architects of this genocide:
“If they lose control of the crime scene, Gaza will be the graveyard of not just Zionism, but Western Imperialism itself.”
That’s not prophecy. That’s a warning.
Because if the world ever gets to see Gaza for what it truly is—a theater of methodical mass murder, deprivation, and apartheid—then the entire house of lies built since 1948 may collapse.
And in its rubble won’t just be Zionism—but every Western leader who played accomplice.
So what now?
Will the world finally send in forensic truth-tellers instead of arms dealers?
Will the West stop clutching its pearls long enough to look at the charred bones of Gaza’s children and say:
“We did this. We let this happen.”
Butch Ware dared to say it first.
Now it’s your turn.
