First, They Replaced the Bombs with Boxes" — How Gaza's Aid Has Been Turned Into a Weapon

✍️ By Malik Mukhtar
📅 July 22, 2025

“This is what systematic harm to human beings looks like.”
Physicians for Human Rights–Israel (PHRI)

When the bombs fell on Gaza, they shattered homes, hospitals, and bodies. But what followed was not peace. It was something colder, more insidious: a militarized, politicized aid regime dressed in humanitarian disguise.

Enter the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)a U.S.- and Israel-backed initiative marketed as a “new solution” to Gaza’s suffering. But for Palestinians, it has become a new layer of trauma, a cruel mechanism of control, and in the words of Israeli human rights doctors, a danger to civilian life.

⚕️ Who Is PHRI?

Physicians for Human Rights–Israel (PHRI) is one of Israel’s oldest and most respected human rights organizations, founded in 1988. It consists of Israeli doctors, public health professionals, and legal experts who promote the right to health for all people under Israeli control, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or legal status. Over the years, PHRI has documented abuses in prisons, occupied territories, and war zones — and has consistently challenged state policies that violate medical ethics and international humanitarian law.

Their recent call to remove the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation from Gaza marks one of the clearest denunciations of Israel’s war-time policies from within its own civil society.

🏴 From Aid to Entrapment

Since its deployment in late May 2025, GHF has operated just five major aid distribution centers — all located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. These include hubs in Rafah, Khan Younis, and Al-Mawasi.

They are not coordinated by the UN, not protected by humanitarian law, and not administered by neutral bodies.

Instead, they are:

  • Controlled by a U.S.-Israeli task force,
  • Secured by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and private contractors, including Global Guardian and Elbit Systems' Urban Defense Unit — both of which have been criticized for roles in other conflict zones,
  • And increasingly associated with bloodshed, displacement, and legal controversy.

☠️ Bodies for Bread

In the last two months alone:

  • 875+ Palestinians have been killed near aid sites, according to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
  • Dozens of stampedes and crowd crushes have occurred at GHF sites, often triggered by Israeli gunfire or fear of sudden strikes.
  • 36 people were shot dead in Rafah on July 19, 2025, as they approached a GHF food truck.
  • 20 more were trampled to death days earlier in Khan Younis during a chaotic aid drop.
  • Hospitals describe malnourished patients dying not of hunger, but of hope — the hope of surviving long enough to reach food.

⚕️ Doctors Against Deception

This week, Physicians for Human Rights–Israel (PHRI) issued a rare and urgent public call:

The GHF endangers Palestinian lives and must be immediately removed from Gaza.”

They urged its replacement with systematic, independent international aid, led by neutral UN agencies — a direct challenge to the  narrative that GHF is “safe” and “effective.”

PHRI is not alone.

Over 170 humanitarian organizations, including Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International, Oxfam, and TRIAL International, have condemned the GHF model as:

  • A violation of humanitarian neutrality
  • A form of engineered displacement
  • A possible mechanism of complicity in war crimes — or even genocide

🔥 A System Designed to Fail

Why does GHF operate only in the south?

Because Israel wants northern Gaza depopulated. By centralizing aid in one corner of the Strip, Palestinians are forced to flee or starve — a war crime dressed up as logistics.

By controlling access to food and medicine, GHF becomes not a bridge to relief but a lever of pressure, a way to coerce movement, punish resilience, and erase the north.

Gaza has become a graveyard not only for children but for humanitarian law itself.”

🧨 When Humanitarianism Becomes Collusion

According to legal experts from the Center for Constitutional Rights, Al-Haq, and TRIAL International, the GHF and its operators may be liable for:

  • War crimes
  • Crimes against humanity
  • Aiding and abetting genocide

The aid workers, contractors, and logistics firms participating in this scheme — no matter how well-intentioned — are now operating under legal warning.

💔 The UNRWA That Was

Before the war, UNRWA and WFP delivered aid with dignity, at scale, and under international protection. But Israel, backed by the U.S., defunded and dismantled these systems — replacing them with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation: a privatized, militarized, and deeply political Frankenstein of a relief model.

And yet, the world calls this “aid.”

The Call to Dismantle GHF

Today, humanitarian doctors, rights defenders, legal experts, and survivors themselves are calling not for reform — but removal.

Remove the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Restore independent, impartial humanitarian access.

Let the United Nations do its job.

Because bread should not be delivered by bullets.
And aid should never come with a gun to your back.

💔 One Eye for Gaza: Hannah Thomas and the Price of Speaking Truth

🖋️ By Malik Mukhtar 📍 ainnbeen.blogspot.com | 🗓️ June 29, 2025 She stood on the pavement—Hannah Thomas, lawyer, activist, former Greens candidate. She stood—holding no weapon, only a banner and a conscience. She stood—outside a factory that allegedly helps plate the steel for F-35 jets now raining hell on Gaza. And for that—Australian police slammed her to the ground. Now, she may never see from her right eye again. Let that sentence burn into your mind: “She may lose her sight—for standing against genocide.” 🇵🇸 In Gaza, Eyes Are Lost Forever In Gaza, there are no surgeons left for eyes. Eyes are buried beneath concrete. Eyes were starved shut. Eyes were blinded by phosphorus, smoke, dust. Children in Gaza have forgotten what it means to look up without fear. And still, the bombs fall. From October 7, 2023 to now, tens of thousands dead—many torn apart by American-made weapons, polished and prepped by foreign contractors. The livestream genocide has not stopped. The...

🏗️ Corporate Complicity in Genocide: The Global Economy Behind Gaza’s Ruin.

📅 July 5, 2025 “We are witnessing not just genocide in Gaza—but a genocide made profitable.” — UN Special Rapporteur, A/HRC/59/23 “This report is written from the heart of darkness . It is penned with a broken hand from a broken land for a broken people . But its words are not broken . They are the words of law and of longing . They are the words of those who are not yet silenced . It is written for Palestinians , first and foremost. It is also addressed to those who remain silent , indifferent or complicit . And it is a call to action for those who are not.” — Introduction, UN Report A/HRC/59/23 In an unprecedented and unflinching report to the UN Human Rights Council, the Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territory has laid bare the truth that much of the world’s corporate, academic, and financial architecture is actively complicit in Israel’s occupation, apartheid, and now, genocide in Gaza. This isn’t just about military aggression . This is about the mac...

"Globalize the Intifada”—Or How to Offend Power by Naming Its Crimes

📰 The New York Times and the Art of Grieving Selectively ✍️ By Malik Mukhtar 📍 ainnbeen.blogspot.com 📅 July 2, 2025 Bret Stephens is upset. Again. Apparently, he’s still recovering from Café Moment. And Passover in Netanya. And that one horrific morning in 2004 when he saw carnage on Azza Street. And he has every right to grieve those losses. Every human does. But here’s the thing: Some corpses get columns. Others get erased. Stephens, perched on the prestigious opinion page of The New York Times , just spent a full-length sermon condemning Zohran Mamdani—not for what he said, but for what he refused to denounce: the phrase “ globalize the intifada.” According to Bret, refusing to ritually cleanse your political career with the holy water of pro-Israel respectability is now akin to blessing bus bombings. What “ globalize the intifada” really means, Mr. Stephens, is refusing to accept a world where genocide is livestreamed, and the world just shrugs. It means dari...

Famine by design, Silence by Choice: 90,000 children are dying and still the UN can't find it's Spine.

✍️ By Malik Mukhtar | July 22, 2025 📍 From the graveyard of global morality: Gaza Let’s be clear. If a three-month-old baby named Yehia dies of starvation in his mother’s arms at Nasser Hospital, that should be enough for the world to say: “Enough.” But in today’s U.N., apparently 90,000 malnourished children, daily starvation deaths, and food rotting at the Gaza border still don’t meet the “technical ” threshold for famine . Welcome to the age of data-driven genocide , where unless a corpse is tagged with the right IPC Level 5 barcode , it's not really dead enough to matter. 📉 No Data? No Problem. Just Ignore the Bones. Let’s break this down. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) — a bureaucratic tool forged in the fires of humanitarian intention — tells us that famine exists when: 20% of households face extreme food shortage, Acute malnutrition in children exceeds 30%, Deaths exceed 2 per 10,000 per day. But wait — Gaza’s under siege, aid...

🕯️ From Srebrenica to Gaza: “Never Again” Is Just a Catchphrase for Selective Humanity

🖋️ By Malik Mukhtar 📅 July 13, 2025 🔗 www.ainnbeen.blogspot.com ✍️ “When genocide is committed under blue flags , broadcasted in HD , and denied in real time , it isn’t just evil . It’s corporate-sponsored .” Let’s rewind the history reel. July 11, 1995 — Srebrenica . Europe solemnly watched as 8,000 Muslim men and boys were executed by Serb forces in what was supposed to be a UN “safe zone .” The Dutch UN peacekeepers stood by — some even helped coordinate the “evacuation” — and then filed reports while the mass graves filled silently behind them. The world gasped. And then, as it often does after every genocidal binge, it made a promise: “ Never Again.” 📺 Fast Forward to 2025 — Gaza: The Live-Streamed Genocide Now cue Gaza , where the " Never Again" crowd is too busy tweeting defense deals, sanctioning UN experts , and defending the most televised mass killing of our era — all under the noble slogan of self-defense. Srebrenica was betrayal. G...
