“Blessed are the peacemakers,” said the Prophet of Nazareth. But in our world today, it is the war criminals who are granted visas, and the peace-seekers who are fined at the gates.
🚧 The Rafah Paradox: A Tale of Two Borders
Let this sink in:
- Israeli soldiers, their hands stained with the blood of Gaza’s children, have entered Sinai freely — seeking rest, strategic staging, or quiet negotiations.
- But kind-hearted civilians, doctors, journalists, clergy, and humanitarians from around the world — those who seek to enter Egypt not with bombs, but with bread and bandages — are charged $5,000 to $10,000 USD to cross Rafah.
Yes, you read that right.
To help the dying, you must pay a ransom.
But to kill the dying, you pass unbothered.
💰 When Borders Become Blood Banks
These are not just "fees."
They are a toll tax on morality.
A transaction on suffering.
- Every visa Egypt denies or delays is a death sentence for a child waiting on the other side of the fence.
- Every humanitarian convoy turned away is another nail in the coffin of Egyptian sovereignty — not by foreign invaders, but by complicity in blockade.
😔 Why This Hurts So Deeply
Egypt — Umm al-Dunya, the mother of the world — was once a beacon of Arab resistance, solidarity, and dignity.
Today, under the rule of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, it has become a silent partner in siege, enforcing an apartheid border not unlike the one Israel maintains on the other side.
And for what?
- Political favors?
- IMF dollars?
- Fear of Israel’s wrath or America’s withdrawal?
🙇 They Kneel, But Not in Shame
Those in Cairo who craft these policies do not kneel in sorrow for the children crushed in Khan Younis.
They kneel with calm minds and solemn hearts, but not to God.
They kneel to power.
To Netanyahu's smirk.
To Washington’s silence.
To their own fearful ambitions.
What kind of heart demands a bribe to save a life?
What kind of leader sells mercy at the price of a luxury car?
🔥 History Will Record This Shame
Let it be said loud and clear:
The Egyptian regime, by closing Rafah and turning away mercy, has not merely failed Palestine — it has betrayed Egypt’s own soul.
Because when the dust settles and the bombs fall silent, the names of the killers will be remembered.
But so will the names of those who let the gates stay closed.
