Twas the night before Baghdad.

Twas the night before Baghdad

Twas the night before Baghdad
And all through the base
Not a heartbeat was silent
Not a smile on one face

The soldiers at attention
Fists raised in the air
Saddam is a monster!
We must all go there!

So we loaded our planes
With our guns and our tanks
And we sent all the soldiers
To Kuwaits outer banks

From Kuwait, from Turkey
From Saudi and more
With battering rams
We knocked on his door

The Fedayin heard
All the military clatter
And ran to Saddam
To ask what was the matter

Don't worry he said
With a heartening ring
They financed my reign
They won't do this thing

We bombed all the buildings
Til the fires were glowing
While Baby Bush yelled
Keep the oil pipes flowing!

He should be a magician
Our Baby Bush, cuz you see
He created the biggest illusion
The WMD's

He lied to us all
About terror and pain
When all that he's after
Is monetary gain

For Daddy, and Barbara
And Baby Bush too
There is no such thing
As too much oil revenue

Some people believe
That it's for our own good
To bomb and to kill
To shed innocent blood

They sleep in their beds
Oblivious to lies
While we who have wakened
Hear bloodcurdling cries

Cries of our fathers,
Our brothers and sons
Sent to fight in a war
That cannot be won

We liberated them!
Our Baby Bush chimes
That is why they attack us
Time after time

With Christmas upon us
He steps up his work
Of campaigning again
The self serving jerk!

He'll don his flight suit
He'll have all his fun
Wishing Merry Christmas! Keep fighting!
And to all....Duck and Run!

When the Dogs Find the Corpses First πŸ’” Gaza, Bret Stephens, and the Theater of Western Conscience

πŸ–‹️  πŸ—“️ July 11, 2025 πŸ”— www.ainnbeen.blogspot.com When the United Nations humanitarian chief starts therapy because of what he saw in Gaza, we should all stop pretending this is just another war. Tom Fletcher has seen Darfur. He’s walked through the remains of Aleppo and traced death’s footprints in the Donbas . But Gaza? Gaza made him break . “The sound and smell of death . Dogs digging out human remains . A generation of children abandoned to trauma. I started therapy because I couldn’t carry it alone.” That’s what Fletcher said. That’s how bad it is. And yet, here we are — watching this genocide unfold in high definition, sponsored by billion-dollar defense deals and moral rationalizations from newspaper columnists who sip lattes in climate-controlled studios while entire cities are vaporized. Enter Bret Stephens of The New York Times, offering a carefully reasoned — though deeply contentious — defense of what many view as indefensible. “ Wh...

Tumbling of American Banks amid weak economic data that sparks recession fears.

" Citigroup led big bank losses with a near 5 per cent fall. Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs fell about 4 per cent each, while JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America declined 2.7 per cent and 3.5 per cent, respectively. Lenders typically feel the squeeze as recessions heighten concerns over credit losses due to higher unemployment, while loan demand – a key factor in profitability – also takes a beating." https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/companies-markets/banking-finance/us-banks-tumble-weak-economic-data-sparks-recession-fears

Intensive Interview with Yoav Gallant. Ynetnews. Key Points.

Former Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant.  Here are key points with further details based on the interview with Yoav Gallant: 1. Missed Opportunity to Attack Hezbollah (October 11) Gallant saw a strategic opportunity to strike Hezbollah and eliminate Hassan Nasrallah early in the war. His plan included detonating Hezbollah’s communications (pagers and walkie-talkies) and carrying out targeted assassinations. Political delays postponed any northern offensive for a full year, which Gallant considers a historic mistake. 2. Gallant’s Role in the War’s Early Hours Received a devastating 6:30 a.m. phone call from the IDF chief on October 7. Described the grim atmosphere in the Kirya command bunker, realizing the responsibility rested on his shoulders. Led the initial military response against Hamas and managed broader regional threats, including Iran's proxy groups. 3. Political Maneuvering and Internal G...

UK threatened with emergency ban of arms exports to Israel after ICC warrants.

Overview :  1. Threat of UK Arms Export Ban: Rights groups Al-Haq and the Global Legal Action Network (Glan) are pursuing a court order to halt UK arms exports to Israel. This follows International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. 2. ICC Allegations: The ICC pre-trial panel found reasonable grounds to believe that Netanyahu and Gallant committed crimes including: Starving civilians in Gaza for eight months. Blocking medical supplies, forcing doctors to operate without anesthetics, even on children. 3. Focus on F-35 Components: The rights groups demand an immediate halt to UK exports of British-made components used in F-35 fighter jets sold to Israel. They argue these weapons contribute to alleged war crimes, including genocide. 4. Call for Two-Way Arms Embargo: Al-Haq's Zainah el-Haroun urged an immediate embargo to prevent British arms from facilitating further violations against P...
